Creative Scrappers sketch # 236: Layout UNconditionnal

Life can be tough as a teenager, mine had its ups and downs... and when I was in that dark spot: Misha was there for me.
Misha, a blue merle colley, lived a beautifull 10 years as my companion. I trully believe she had a mission to accomplish because she passed away not even 1 week after I finally made my coming out to my father, one the most if not the most difficult truth I told to someone I was afraid to loose. (He took it very well)
There are no words to describe what she brought me... to this day I still think of her often because she showed how love should be: UNconditionnal.

Scrapbook layout: Finally She's here !!!

In March 2012 I visited an Australian Shepperd Dog Breeder in Saint-Césaire it was mutual love at first sight when this blue merle female and I met... I was thrilled to learn she was still available and 1 month later this irresistable puppy was finally on my lap ! (I literally counted the days before she would arrive...)

This layout was made months later using American Craft City Park papers and embellie collection. I hesitated before using this solid blue color Bazzil Cardstock as the background but I really like the result !!! I also played with Washi tapes, Masks and inks to soften the color block design...

Authentique November Sketch: Dirty Girl

In March 2012 I chose to adopt an australian sheppard. From the moment I saw pictures of all 9 puppies in the litter, I fell in love with this blue merle female... I was thrilled to learn she was still available and 1 month later this irresistable puppy was finally on my lap. We would go to the dog Park twice a day where she would get so dirty playing with other canine friends !
I used the Authentique Paper November Sketch to design this layout. Here is the sketch:

I had fun using Masks with inks and mists to create the background in order to make it look "dirty". These papers were given to me by my friend Claude (scraps from a page she had made about her child). They are so versatile !

Creative Scrappers sketch 235: mon Rayon de Soleil

This page was made using the sketch # 235 from Creative Scrappers. I often use their sketches to inspire my layouts... this one posted yesterday prompted me to work on these pictures taken in March 2012 when I visited Melba in St-Césaire where I adopted her. The sun was shining so bright on that early spring day !

Here is the sketch:
Here is my layout made with the Lilybee deisgn Buttercup collection :

August 7th 2011: "Smurfs/Schtroumpfs"

You read right: August 7th 2011 ! The day that picture was taken at Starcité movie theater where Gabriel and I went to See "Smurfs"... Well 99% of it, he started crying near then end and we never saw the ending !

I thought I would start my new blog with a recent layout (using Lucky7Factory papers...I love this local whimsical manufacturer, their team is just so much FUN)
I used the movie tickets on the page, adding memorabilia just makes me happy !
Here is a close-up on the Lucky7Factory papers, and another memorabilia: a token we used to play in the arcades .

She's here ! Let me introduce Melba

In April of 2012, I adopted this adorable Aussie (australian sheppard) who I named Melba. She is blue merle and yes she does have one brown eye, and one blue eye !!! You will see her in many of my scrapbook layouts. She got much bigger since, but she is still as cute !
Welcome to my new blog: Proudly chasing rainbow !My life took many changes for the best this past year, but I'm not gonna tell you now. A fresh new start needs a new blog where I will tell you about those improvements very soon ! Stay tuned...
I plan on sharing some tid bits about me, my creations (scrapbook, pictures, art journaling) and passions (cooking, shopping, coffee and much more...)
To start off, here's a picture of my two felines snuggling together
